Alison Robbins

“I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist from Leicester Polytechnic in 1992. I worked for the NHS for 20 years, working first in Leicester and then in Bristol. In both areas, I predominantly worked in community clinics with pre-school and school aged children. I have always been passionate about working closely with parents and was a lead therapist for the Hanen programme during my time in Bristol.

I began working for WMSLT in 2013 and have recently taken on the role of NQP support within the team. I currently work with children in mainstream primary schools who have a wide range of speech, language and communication needs including ASC, DLD, speech sound delay/disorder and stammering. I recognise the value of working collaboratively with parents, teachers, TA’s and members of the wider multi-disciplinary team and I provide training and workshops to schools across the Sutton Coldfield area as part of the DLP project.”
